Following up on my previous post including Prince Edward Island, I realized I'd forgotten to mention a wonderful, quirky feature of PEI, specifically Georgetown.  When we were driving on the main road into Georgetown, I saw some small signs - 'Tweedlers in Georgetown?' and 'Have You Seen Tweedlers?'  I was baffled, but a little searching turned up that Tweedlers are tiny, hidden people, perhaps similar to the hidden people in Icelandic folklore.  The Tweedlers: The Hidden Fairy Folk of Prince Edward Island is a book written by the staff at Red Island Creations.  I tried to find a copy locally but came up empty-handed, so I haven't read it; but the Canadian bookseller Indigo website describes it as "Rich with coastal charm, glowing lantern light, foxes, hidden pathways, and timeless storytelling, this beautifully illustrated tale blends fantasy and folklore into a heartwarming story that celebrates imagination, kindness, and the spirit of Prince Edward Island."  This Facebook page also indicates that there are Tweedler clues to be found on PEI.  More background information is found on the Mysteries of Canada website.  Tweedlers signs now explained, for anyone who may be visiting Georgetown!
